UAE President shares Eid Al Fitr message of unity, resilience and hope

ABU DHABI – President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has extended Eid Al Fitr greetings to the Rulers of the Emirates, residents of the UAE and Muslims around the world, while expressing confidence that the region will overcome its current challenges.
In a message shared on X, the President highlighted the values of strength, resilience, loyalty and unity as central to the country’s progress.
His remarks came as worshippers across the UAE gathered in mosques to mark the start of Eid Al Fitr.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to my brothers, the Rulers of the Emirates, our family in the UAE, and Muslims around the world on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr,” His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said in his post.
The President went on to frame the occasion not only as a moment of celebration, but also as a reminder of the UAE’s confidence in the future. “We remain confident that our region will overcome its current challenges, and that the UAE, through its strength, resilience, and the loyalty and unity of its people, will continue to advance towards a peaceful and prosperous future,” he said.
His statement placed emphasis on both the wider region and the domestic strength of the UAE, underlining a message of stability and continuity at a time of heightened tensions.
National unity
The President’s Eid message drew attention to the resilience shown by the country and its people, as well as the importance of solidarity during periods of uncertainty. The remarks reflected the leadership’s focus on unity and national cohesion as residents and citizens marked one of the most important festivals of the Islamic year.
This year’s Eid Al Fitr is being observed against the backdrop of conflict, with the UAE having defended itself against repeated waves of air strikes from Iran since hostilities broke out on February 28. The President’s words came as the region continues to navigate those developments, with the UAE stressing confidence in a peaceful and prosperous future.
Authorities had announced earlier in the week that Eid prayers would be held indoors rather than on prayer grounds or in open spaces, as part of measures designed to safeguard worshippers. Thousands later gathered at mosques across the country in a visible display of faith, unity and community spirit.
